pages not showing

I am using the latest version of wordpress and custom community free version with a child theme. The only file in my child theme at this point is the stylesheet. Oh and the site is in a subfolder of the main root.

When I add new pages everything links up correctly but the page will not show.. Is there maybe something I’m missing when working with child themes?
