I am new to WordPress, just having started working with software 2.9.2. I have a problem that I can’t seem to solve. I was working fine and getting good results using a theme called Mid Mo Design. Really nice. Problem is that I decided to test out a different theme, and activated it. I didn’t like what I saw and went back Mid Mo Design. However the problem is that the Pages don’t load properly. (I set up a few test Pages.) I have tried reloading, editing the Page, and still, the Pages I created don’t show up.

Should I completely delete the Theme Mid Mo and reinstall it? or do you think it could be a 2.9.2 bug?

    Any help or suggestions appreciated.

    Norm

Hi Samboll, the website is https://egomanism.com/

I actually went ahead and tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Theme. Same problem still. I think it is for all the themes now, so it`s for all. I removed Pages and created new ones too.

    Thanks,
    Norm

I assume by your permalinks you are on a windows server
    try this
    delete the wordpress .htaccess entirely
    now re-save your permalinks
    dashboard – settings – permalinks

I will try that. Actually, I uploaded a .htaccess (based on some information provided on this website) to the server, as it was not there when my host (serverpoint.com) installed the software. let’s see what happens with your suggestion.
    Thanks. N

I just tried your suggestion and it didn’t seem to solve the problem. I have also reset the Permalinks to default. No change again.

try deactivating all plugins just to rule that out
honestly, I’m not good with windows servers – there may be a simple fix

don’t guess you would consider switching to linux? mush friendlier server for php/mysql apps

I’ll tag this and maybe someone else can give a better answer

i just asked serverpoint.com and they use onlinux servers.

i just deactivated all the plugins. i’m still getting the same problem.

oh sorry – assumed windows because you had index.php in the permalinks when I saw it the 1st time

wow and not working with default permalinks either. normally correctly set linux servers are no problem.

consider asking host why mod_rewrite isn’t working

when i turn on the WP Super Cache, the mod-rewrite is not enabled. so this has to do with the webhost? i didn’t know. but I will ask the host this question and see what they come back with.

WordPress was completely reinstalled on a new directory by my webhost.
