pages not included in child theme styling

    I have just discovered that the 404 error page isn’t picking up the styling from the child theme. This leads me to believe there may be other pages as well. This is the site. Why is this happening, and what other steps I need to take to put things right. I had assumed that since the child-theme came pre-bundled that I wasn’t going to need to make copies of the other templates.

    Also, I added another reply to my previous support thread and then noticed it had been marked resolved. I had to take some time off and it’s not quite finished. Thanks

  • The 404 error page has styling in the page itself which I realize now I should change that. I made a note to do an update to the theme where the styles are moved to the style.css of the theme.

    The “resolved” setting on the previous post…my fault as I thought that was for another post. I just changed it back to not resolved.

    So, should we be looking forward to a theme update sometime soon that will include the fix for this? — and is the 404 error page the only one affected?

    I’m working on an update right now actually, and for the most part, it should be focused on the 404 styling. Running into a few challenges because it’s more of an html page, so I may need to change the design layout of the 404 a bit.

    Actually… I just realized something (shows how much I need a vacation). To edit the 404 page when using the child theme, simply copy over the 404.php file from the parent theme and into the child theme. Use the dashboard Appearance Editor to edit the 404 page ??
