pages living at the root when wordpress is installed at a sub directory?

Hello!

I have wordpress setup on a sub directory /users/

I would like to create some pages that live at the root (which is one level above the wordpress installation) and are not part of the wordpress /users/ subdirectory but still managed and maintained in wordpress.

Is this possible? If so, any guidance would be ace!
