• Hi,

My website is https://jamesbuxton.co.uk/. I am a freelance writer and need my site to act as a portfolio to link to the websites I have written for online.

    I have 2 questions,

    1. On the features page of my site, is it possible to click on the image and link directly to my article on another website, as opposed to having to go through to the post page and then having to click again to access the actual link. I don’t want to duplicate all my own content on my website as it is very time consuming and I want to show the selection of websites I am writing for.

    2. Is it possible to use the masonry structure on more than just one page? I would like to make several pages which are like the features page of my website, but for different pages, eg. Interviews / Reviews etc. Please could you tell me if this is possible. I want to keep my home page static, but have all the other pages on my site as blog pages with the masonry structure.

    Cheers

    James

    Hi James,

The theme was designed to feature portfolio pieces which use blog posts. So there’s not really a page, but it’s simply your latest posts. You can of course set these in categories and display these and think of them as pages if you.

In terms of linking the images to different sites, there’s no easy way to do this. You might be able to do this with custom fields, but that would need a theme re-write.
The theme wasn’t meant to be used that way.
