Page’s excerpt for search engines

    Hi and thanks again for a great theme.

    In a site where I don’t want to install Yoast – how can I change the homepage description showing on search engines? I see there’s no excerpt section in pages.

    What am I missing?

    Hello, without Yoast SEO, it is not possible. Even if it is a small site, I recommend you to use this plugin.

    I’ve found I can add the following code to functions.php and it’ll show the excerpt on pages. Next, I’ll have to add an excerpt and see if social networks reads it.

    add_post_type_support( ‘page’, ‘excerpt’ );

    Hi, yes, I recommend you to use Yoast SEO in any case.
