    Dear memebers and plugin author,

I migrated from mQtranslate to qTranslate X two days ago. If you visit my website, it appears to work properly but if I want to modify the pages they don’t switch from a language to another. My main language is English and the second one is Italian. Only the titles switch from English to Italian. If I go from Visual to Text then sometimes I can see the Italian version. I guess all the info are there but somethings is not working properly.

    Do you have suggestions?

Waiting to hear from you soon,

    Regards

    @somesh01,

I see you still have no response for qTranslate Slug.

Try our latest Beta version, in the same manner as described above download here

Before activating qTranslate X again activate qTranslate Slug, you get the message, ignore this message, but see if it is activated. Ten activate qTranslate X

    Thank you Gunu,

the only thing is that I don’t know how to work on the FTP. last time I deactivated qtranslate x and uploaded the Beta version you gave me, is it correct? Now i have the beta version of q translate x activeted and the original version of q translate x deactivated.

Now what you ask me to do is:

    1) deactive from the bashboard q translate x and q translate slug
    2) upload beta version of q translate x
    3) active qtranslate slug
    4) active q translate x (beta version)

Is it correct? Sorry but i am not an expert!

    thank you for your support!

deactive from the bashboard q translate x and q translate slug

    Yes.

    Via FTP:
Delete folder of beta version of q translate x complete.

Open original folder qtranslate-x and delete all files inside.

Copy all files in the beta version folder into the original qtranslate-x folder

    active qtranslate slug

    Yes, ignore message

active q translate x (beta version)

    Yes.
This should now be the only version of qTranslate in the original folder on your plugins dashboard

    You are welcome!

You can review this plugin to help other people to find out the value.

On the qTranslate Slug forum you can say that you’ve solved it. The problem was that the Beta version of qTranslate was not in the original folder – qtranslate-x – but in a folder with another name (qtranslate-x-master I assume).

As far as I understand it, qTranslate Slug recognizes qTranslate X only if it is in the original folder.

You missed this in one of the previous steps ??

Best is to deactivate first qTranslate x, then with FTP delete all files in the existing qtranslate-x folder and after that copy all new files in it. Activate the new qTranslate x again.

yes that was the problem. but i am not good with FTP I am always afraid to do a mistake. so I asked to someone to do it for me and now it is ok! I already wrote on qtranslate slug forum. thank you again

    @somesh01,
I have not read well enough yours:

previoulsy I didn’t touch the FTP because I don’t feel safe in doing that so i simply deactivated qtranslate x and uploaded the file you gave me.

if I had known I had then send another zip file with the correct folder name. Sorry for that.

Best and have a nice weekend!

    hi,

no problem i am so happy that it works now! just another question: when I am in the dashboard and i switch from English to Italian or vice versa, the title of the SEO in the Snippet Preview stays in the other language. An example: If the page is in English and then I switch to Italian, then the seo title in the Snippet Preview stays in English.
Is it ok? or it is a problem? what do you think?

    thank you again

If the page is in English and then I switch to Italian, then the seo title in the Snippet Preview stays in English.

Is that a part of WordPress seo by Yoast?

    Thread Starter somesh01

    (@somesh01)

Yes, do you think it is normal? or I simply ask to the forum of yoast?

It will remain in the language of your dashboard at that moment?

If so, is it a part of your dashboard and can do no harm.

    (@somesh01)

yes, ok thank you than it is ok, i really appreciate your support!

A quick test for your issue….

Switching the language buttons, does not refreshes the page.

Refresh your page and you’ll see that it will be adjusted.

    Thank you for mentioning it.

yes it is like you say! thank you again!
