Pages do not appear

    I cannot seem to get the pages working. I made new pages, made a new menu and added the pages in the menu but when I click on them, I get ” The requested URL /biography/ was not found on this server. “
    Pages are published, I tried different lay-outs but none of it makes the page appear..
    In one of the menu items I have a Contact form, but same result.

  • Try resetting your permalinks? That is very strange and I’m not really sure what causes that.

    ehm… I took a look and haha how stupid… I did not have an .htaccess file… added that one, and everything works great.

    Glad you got everything sorted.

    Usually when you resave the Permalinks page, WordPress will add/update the .htaccess file with the appropriate settings. If it can’t for some reason (ie. doesn’t have permission), then it will let you know.
