• I just noticed that most, if not all, my Pages are not getting indexed by Google. It seems like Google does not assign the same weight to Pages to Post. Is there anyway to fix that? Thanks!

Those all look like pages to me… they are getting indexed, however maybe they’re just not showing up for the search terms you’re wanting them to??

If it’s a different site than what you have in your profile, go to google and type this in the search box:

    site:www.yoursitename.com

That will show you every single link google has indexed for the site.

Oh…hrmmm…I guess they are being indexed. Is there a way to put tags into Pages? I use UTW for Posts, is there a way to use UTW for Pages?

Not that I’m aware of, but you don’t need to tag them. UTW doesn’t really have that much of an effect on the search engines… it’s more for sites like technorati and so that your site visitors can find other posts of yours that have the same tag (topic).

I’m not sure what you’re trying to achieve, so I can’t really offer you any other suggestions than to say that as long as your navigational structure is easily found by your visitors, it will be easily found by the search engines. Don’t build a site for the search engines, build it for your visitors… Think like this: “Would I do this if search engines didn’t exist?” and you’ll be fine.

Hrmmm, that does make sense. I guess somewhere along the way I got more concerned with being indexed than putting data in a clear and concise place. Thanks!
