Pages are ALL down, except the index. HELP

    I updated to WordPress 2.7 almost a month ago, with no troubles at all. But now ALL the pages are down except the homepage. They are all still there and in tact when I login to WP, and I can access all my images, but no pages.

    What happened? Did it just break itself?
    I am a total newbie at this, so please explain things simply.

    Did you change the permalinks? What were you doing just before you noticed the problem? Who’s your host?

    The permalinks have been the same for months. I didn’t even do any updates today, or change any settings.
    Yesterday I updated the .htaccess file to block direct linking. As far as I know everything was still working after that. I thought that must be the problem, but even after i deleted the .htaccess file, everything was still broken.

    My host is 2mhost.com.

    Ahhhh. Try resetting the permalinks in your admin panel. Even if it’s what you had it, click save.

    I wonder why my site decided to scare me like that…

    When you change the permalinks, it changes the .htaccess so when you deleted it, it messed things up. By resaving your permalink structure, it recreated the .htaccess file.
