Pages and Posts

  • Hi All,

    I am trying to create number of pages and add related posts to the related page. I think this is not allowed. Whatever we post becomes available in in the main page only. So if I need to manage posts and pages according to their relation, how can i achieve this. For example: ABC posts goes to ABC page, XYZ post goes XYZ post, while ABC and XYZ posts are now at the root page. Please help.

  • As I understand you have to create categories to manage post. You will have ABC category which you are going to list in ABC page. Or if you have similar layout for all kinds of post then use archive.php or category.php

    Hi Gorakh,

    Actually I was doing like that already, but the problem is the same post repeats in main page and the other page too.
    For eg: i have created a post ABC in ABC page while the ABC post is also seen in main page. I want ABC post not to be visible in the main page, thats my concern.

    Simply create a category for homepage like homepage-category and just fetch only that category so there will not be other posts from ABC.. category.
