• After update to WordPress 4.2.4 the “Row and widget styles” will not work correctly.

    How to reproduce:
If you have 2 or more columns (Row-Layout = 2) and then select any entry except “Even” from “Columns with Ratio” it is always changing to 100%.

Nothing else in my WordPress installation has been changed. I have tried to deactivate most of my plugins, but it did not help.

Please fix this issue. In WP 4.2.3 this issue does not occur.

Thanks for the report quant768. I’ll look into this issue.

Can you check if you’re getting the same problem if you roll back to version 2.1.3? You can download it here:

    Hi @quant768

We’re, unfortunately, not able to reproduce the problem. If you’d like to troubleshoot further, please, test the issue with just Page Builder activated, de-activate all other plugins. If the issue still occurs with only Page Builder activated, re-test with a default theme activated, Twenty Fifteen perhaps.

Let us know how that goes.

    Thanks

With the help or your instructions I was able to identify maybe the cause of my reported issue.

I found out that the plugin WP-Piwik version 1.0.3 cause the malfunction of Page Builder’s row and widget styles. So it seems with WordPress 4.2.4, Page Builder version 2.1.4 (or 2.1.3) and WP-Piwik 1.03 the issue is reproducible.

First of all I have deactivated all other plugins and keep Page Builder active. Then I have activated each of the deactivated plugins step by step and each time I have rechecked the function “columns with ratio”. With this approach I have identified the influencing plugin was at the end WP-Piwik (a needed plugin).

Super, thanks for letting us know the conflict. I’ll log this as a bug report. Hopefully you can find an alternative plugin to replace the conflicting plugin.

If you’d like to keep using the plugin you could perhaps reach out to the plugin developer and ask if they can check that their plugin isn’t trigger JavaScript errors.

Thanks. To assist with the JavaScript error report requested, please, see the following quick tutorial:

Try checking your browser’s console when using the widget in Page Builder.
