Pagebuilder broken by IPGeoblock v3.0.3.4

Sorry about this issue.

Otherwise this plugin breaks SiteOrigin Pagebuilder totally.

Did you mean “BadSig issue, conflict with SiteOrigin/Live Mesh widgets“?

I confirmed that issue by myself in 3.0.3.4 but I’m afraid I missed something. Could you copy the result of “Show information” button at “Installation information” in “Plugin settings” section and paste it here when you have this issue?

Yes that looked similar though mine just meant any attempt to edit dropped back to the main page and I could do nothing. If it helps, if I set to have pagebuilder load by default and it lets me add a widget then if I edit; it loads up and a popop asks if I want to leave the site, if I say leave it drops me back to the raw pagebuilder page, if I say stay I can continue. But when I try to re-edit a widget it just drops back.

I have tried deactivating all plugins except pagebuilder and ipgeoblock and can easily reproduce the problem in 3.0.3.4 and avoid it in 3.0.3.3

Thank you for the information. So many activities were blocked. For example, wp-zep GET:/wp-admin/admin.php?page=stats&noheader&proxy&chart=admin-bar-hours-scale was related to Jetpack. I think all of your activities on the admin dashboard might be blocked, not only SiteOrigin.

In this case, the most likely cause would be some JavaScript error happens on your dashboard.

So could you check if there’s any JS errors on your browser? Please refer to Why “Sorry, your request cannot be accepted” ? and Using Your Browser to Diagnose JavaScript Errors.

no java errors. fwiw I disabled Jetpack ran the test , got the error then this is my show info. Cleaner it seems but still getting the error in 3.0.3.4 but not in 3.0.3.3

Did you mean you have the same issue but had no js error? If the answer is yes, then I prefer starting to check your plugins and theme because you have less than patbell101.

This thread is about the issue that the 3.0.3.4 version of IP Geoblock has broken SiteOrigin PageBuilder for me.

Thank you so much for your information. Both of report with error / no error are helpful for me to identify this issue.

Unfortunately, I have not confirmed the cause of this issue until now, but found a potential path which would be logically happened.

@patbell101, could you download https://github.com/tokkonopapa/WordPress-IP-Geo-Block/archive/3.0.3.5.zip and test it? Please follow the steps:

1. Unzip WordPress-IP-Geo-Block-3.0.3.5.zip
2. Find the “ip-geo-block” folder in it.
3. Deactivate IP Geo Block and delete it.
4. Install new “ip-geo-block” into your plugins folder.
5. Activate IP Geo Block again.

Note that internal version number is still 3.0.3.4 so that you can update it when I release a new version on WP.org.

Well, the structure of “WordPress-IP-Geo-Block-3.0.3.5.zip” is a bit different from ordinary plugin’s zip file.

1. Unzip WordPress-IP-Geo-Block-3.0.3.5.zip
2. Find the “ip-geo-block” folder in it.

I means that you can find the “ip-geo-block” in “WordPress-IP-Geo-Block-3.0.3.5” as follows:

WordPress-IP-Geo-Block-3.0.3.5
  ├── README.md
  ├── deploy.sh
  ├── ip-geo-block <-- Upload this into your plugins folder!
  └── test

Done! But it doesn’t fix the bug. Pagebuilder widgets still open then close immediately.

This time, JavaScript was changed. So please clear your browser’s cache before testing.

Technical note: Fixed the issue of illegal event handling for click on the anchor tag that has no href.

Deleted plugin, ftp’d new folder into plugins. Cleared all browser history. Reactivated… Same issue, loads and shows pagebuilder edit screen then drops back to page.
