• Hi there. I usually write long articles for a site that I split into pages.I found out how to split them, however so far I can only get this to display:

    Page: 1,2,3

I would like to give each page a name that is reflected in a Table of Contents on each page.

    Index:
    The article title
    Page 2 is here
    This is page 3

I have search a LOT on Google for a plugin but all plugins regarding pagination aim at paginating lists of posts on your blog. They are not targeted at breaking up longer articles.

  • You might like the Table of Contents Plus plugin, which generates a table of contents based on headings in your posts, and also allows you to insert the tables automatically or via the use of shortcodes (you can disable them this way as well).

Here is a brief tutorial on how to use it.

Thanks for the effort but I really want to split my posts into pages.

If you checkout review sites in general you will notice there are usually 10 pages. Putting that on one large page with a Table of Content in the header is not the way to go.

Most of them use a dropdown box with page titles as selector.

    Magistar,

Have you find a solution? I would like to use table of contents for my Page breaks as well.. ??

No I updated one of my websites from Joomla 2.5 to Joomla 3.x so I could keep using proper pagination.

On my wordpress websites I am still stuck with the numbered pages :(.
