Page with single random post

Hi,

I’d like to create a page that shows a single, random, Post selected from one specific Category. A bit like the current Testimonials page – but selecting from a Posts Category (and only displaying one Post).

I will use this to display ‘Tips’ – displaying a random one each time the page is displayed/refreshed.

I have tried the advanced-random-posts-widget plugin, which :
– functions as I want (random Post from specific Category),
– but it strips out any formatting when it displays the Post
