The only page on my dev site that includes a NextGEN gallery won’t load.

Firefox gives me: “The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.”

Chrome says: “No data received. ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE”

    Other pages load just fine.

    I’m using:
    NextGEN Gallery 2.0.79
    WP 4.2.1
    Theme: Twenty Fifteen

NextGEN Gallery is the only plugin activated. When I deactivate it, the page loads.

    I’ve cleared my cache.

@denis24 – Can you provide a link to the page where this is happening?

No, it’s on a local site on my computer.

    I’m using:
    Mac OS 10.10.2
    MAMP 3.0.3
    PHP 5.5.10

@denis24 – In many cases MAMP will require being set up using the default Apache ports of 80 and 3306 respectively for localhost and MySQL. See if that will help to sort things out.

    Thanks!

My version of MAMP (3.0.3) uses default ports 8888 for Apache and 8889 for MySQL. When I reset the ports to 80 and 3306, I cannot access my localhost site at all.

    I tried this:

    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/9371538/setting-mamp-ports-to-80-and-3306

but I still can’t access my localhost site.

This is getting more complicated than I expected. I may have to try another gallery plugin, which is a shame because I like NextGEN Gallery.

    Any other thoughts?

@denis24 – I found the simplest method is to simply recreate the local site under the Apache default ports rather than try to re-configure an existing default MAMP local installation.
