• First, great plugin. I bought the pro version and I am very happy with it.

I am using the plugin with a Woocommerce site. On my home page I am using a html block for the footer. When I view the html block separately it appears to be showing the same Assets (JavaScript/CSS) that a page shows. Is this duplicate content. Should I optimize the html footer block also.

    Thanks

@brgreene Happy new year, 2020! I’m glad you like the plugin and thank you for being a Pro user!

    Regarding the issue you’re having:

When I view the html block separately it appears to be showing the same Assets (JavaScript/CSS) that a page shows.

What do you mean by viewing the HTML block separately? Some print screens with explanations would be great (you can use something like https://imgbb.com/ to share the images). I’m positive I could help you out.

Should I optimize the html footer block also.

When you say optimizing the HTML footer block, I suppose you refer to cleaning up any CSS/JS that is loading there (if any)? Or would you like to remove visual elements from the HTML block?

    Best wishes,
    Gabe

I used Asset Cleanup to optimize my home page. As you know the plug allows me to turn off JavaScript and CSS. On my home page I do not have a footer.

For my footer I have I use an HTML Block and assign it as my footer under the appearance menu using a widget. The same footer is displayed throughout my site.

When I load an html block. The Asset Cleanup plugin loads allows me to optimize the html block as well.

My question is do I need to optimize both a page and the HTML Block. Are the resources being loaded from the HTML Block if I disable them on a page?
