Page Visibility – Passoword Protect Option Missing

  • Hi,

    I am trying to enable password-protection on one of the pages on a site I am designing.

    The issue I have is I know I need to select Visibility and Edit from the options on the left of the page edit screen. I was expecting a small menu, but instead the option just sends me further down the page.

    Can someone please explain why the password protect menu is not coming up, and how to resolve it ?

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    I think the problem was to do with Firefox, as when I opened it in Internet Explorer, I was able to enable the password protect.
