I may have missed this in reviewing back through the previous support posts and the documentation, Baden.

I have a page that has a post listing with collapsed contents within each. If I click on an individual post, I would like the collapsed content to be expanded already. Is that possible?

Here is my URL so you can see what I’m talking about. Go to this page:

    https://www.amerechristian.com/?page_id=2700

Then click on the top article (Amazing Grace by John Newton is the current title of the top article). When that post opens, I still have to click on ‘Watch the video…’ to expand the collapsed content.

It would be great if I could just have it already expanded for any inidividual post that is opened in this way. Any guidance is much appreciated.

So in the post list, keep them closed, but on the single post page, show them expanded, correct? You might want to check out this thread on a similar issue.

which will point you to this demo but this is an advanced featured that is only available in Collapse-Pro-Matic

    Hi, Baden.

Ok. I got the demo, and purchased the Pro version and upated one post with the ‘expand_on’ attribute. If you would take a look at that top post on this page entitled Amazing Grace.

    https://www.amerechristian.com/?page_id=2700

Now if you click on ‘Watch this video’ you’ll see the dimensions of the video are normal.

If I click on the the title of Amazing Grace and open up the post itself, the video plays correctly but the bounds are widely distorted. Did I do something wrong?

Ron, if you have the pro version, please contact us direct at the support email listed on your purchase receipt, and we’ll be happy to get this resolved for you.

This is very strange, indeed. And this only happens when you use the expand_on feature? Can you try a test and see if this also happen if you simply use the expanded=”true” attribute, while will force the element to be expanded by default.

    Hi, Baden.

I think I figured out the problem. Notice the title of the video that I had. It was how the video came to me and what I was using in the site and the post. There are two brackets in the name of the post. I removed those and repalced spaces with underlines and everything is working perfectly now:

    Before
Amazing Grace – Condoleezza Rice & Jenny Oaks Baker [720p].mp4

    After
    Amazing_Grace_Condoleezza_Rice_Jenny_Oaks_Baker_720p.mp4

Thanks for your help and for the great plugin!
