Page using “single post” template

  • Brand new installation of WP 2.2.

    Created a new page and selected this page on Options -> Reading -> Front page -> Static page.

    I access the site and the page is displayed, but with the single.php template (default theme).

    I checked the template being used and it’s “Default template”.

    Any ideas? In which file WP decided which template to use?
