    Sam,

    You are absolutely right, there should be a title and URL when sharing to twitter. Can you link me to your site so I can see this in action and troubleshoot?

    Also, are you overriding the widget’s URL or just using the plugin out of the box?

    Hi Tom

    I’m not overriding the URL, as far as I’m aware. I only have the plugin installed locally at the moment..

    Sam,

    Here is a screenshot from my local build: https://screencast.com/t/tCkAJ8UQ

    As you can see, the twitter window pops up and is showing the title and URL. Can you show me a screenshot or video? Hard for me to troubleshoot when I don’t have access or any data.

    Are you implementing it via a custom loop or are you using it out of the box attaching it to the top/bottom of your posts?

    I just tried it on a remote site, and I can’t reproduce the problem. Must be something peculiar to my testing environment..

    Odd, that shouldn’t matter. When you have the page open can you open your browsers console (Firefox or Chrome) and see if there are any errors?

    Can you give me more information on the environment? Are you using mac/windows, what browser, what local server environment, etc etc.

    Also, do you have any other javascript files that could be causing WPSocialite to throw an error? Try disabling all of your plugins and setting the default theme.

    More than likely it is a conflict with the theme or another plugin.

    I do get:
    FB.getLoginStatus() called before calling FB.init().

    I’m using MAMP, have tested in FF and Chrome.

    I don’t think there is any JS on my local version, that isn’t on the live version (I might be wrong).

    Sam, did you ever get this resolved? I’m going to mark it as such but don’t hesitate to reopen the thread if you are still having an issue.

    No, but as it’s only a problem locally, I can live with it.
