I used this in the custom structure %postname% it looked to sort of work but it because making my links on my menu bar to act strangely – must i go in and manually fix all my links or will they update thru-out the site?

Oh for heavens sake… log into your admin panel and change the permalink structure to either day and name or month and name and you’ll get the result you’re looking for.

i do that and my current pages are gone – replace of course with contact_us.html but nothing appears on them – does that mean i have to recreate all those pages? I do appreciate your help.
