I’m making a website with WordPress as a CMS but without the WordPress front end.

One every page of the website there will be an article, and a sidebar with extra information and images. So what I need is a double post box on the WordPress “edit page” page – one box for the article and one for the sidebar content. They should both have the full editing possibilities (e.g. making text italic and inserting images and links), so simply using the exerpt field is no option. Does anyone know a plugin that does this, or another solution? I can’t seem to find it…

    Thanks!

What do you mean by “without the WordPress front end”? You can edit your pages under Pages > Edit, and your sidebars at Appearance > Widgets.

OK sorry, maybe I’m not being clear. I only use WordPress to put content in the database. I use my own system to get it out of the database and show it on the actual website.

Every page on the website has a main article and some extra test on the right side of the page, like this: https://waks.nl/dump/layout.gif
So when I edit a page, I want an extra editing field to edit the extra info, for example like this: https://waks.nl/dump/edit.gif

I found a plugin that should do the job: https://blog.page.ly/multiedit-plugin/
