  • When it’s ready ?? Having said that I expect it to be within a few weeks.

You could also choose to download the GitHub master which already includes these changes. You will still be notified when the official update is there.

Is the GitHub link updated when you make changes? I notice you did post a link, but it was above when I started posting here and it was posted before you said you may have fixed the Title issue.

    https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/archive/master.zip

    THANK YOU!

The GitHub link I gave you will always download the master version as it is at the time. The zip is generated on the fly whenever the code in the master changes (or something to that effect).

If you go to the repo at its base address: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/ you can see in the readme.txt file which changes the master contains compared to the last official release version – listed under ‘Trunk’ at the top of the changelog.
This changelog list may not be complete and will normally be verified and updated further before an actual release.

    Awesome! Thank you SO much!

Well… after waiting for a few weeks, I created a test site to see if the MASTER .zip file would fix the Title issues. Just downloaded it today July 11th.

    It didn’t work.
    Test Page

Sadly, because of this I will need to delete the yoast plugin from my actual website.

I am sure it is a great plugin for some, but it is REALLY hurting my SEO by making thousands of pages not have any title.

I am unhappy I actually paid someone $200 for SEO work, including configing yoast and then this happened. Oh well!!

Thanks for all your help! I am gonna find something else.

Also, WordPress is giving me this error message:

    1. Newer versions of WordPress SEO have a known issue with title tag display. Until the plugin developer resolves this issue, we recommend downloading and installing version 1.5.2.8.

I have officially switched to SEOPressor.

If anyone else has %%Title%% issues, check your webmaster Tools. Mine was showing “Duplicate Title Tags” with the following message.

    Pages with duplicate title tags
    %%title%%

I would say to dump yoast before it starts hurting your SEO with this issue.
