• For seo purposes, is it better to change the permalinks of static pages to standard names or keep them at their WP default page id? If changing is preferred, how do I do so?

Again, I am speaking of changing the page name links that show in the address bar, not neccessarily page titles that show above the address bar. That already has been done via an seo plugin.

    Please advise. Thank you.

  • Hey,

You can edit the URL of your page when editing the page itself (it will be under the title).

As long as the url has your keywords in, your SEO should be fine. ??

I actually changed the permalink type from default (?Page_ID=###) to post name (page name). How does this affect SEO, Google Analytics, and my sitemap?

It is better to use a permalink structure that allows SEO to Semantically interpret your posts and pages – imagine a billion ?p=123 as links?

I use /%postname%/ on my sites.
