Page Title instead of SEO Meta Title used

Is there a way to completely disable the title meta tag and use a PHP code inside the template to call the yoast seo title?
I have problems w/ my template … it shows the yoast seo description but not the yoast title, only the WP pagename is shown as title.
Need a function to remove the default meta title tag and replace it with a call to the yoast title meta tag.
