• Hi!
I have SEO all in one plugin installed. I changed page title and description in general settings, but Google shows still my old page title, that I erased (Samara Group elektrit??d ja LED valgustid. | LED valgustus …) It seems like that the new page title is added to old one. But at the same time URL is showing my new page title (correct one), that is set in SEO pack (LED valgustid | Elektrit??d – Stiil ja s??st k?sik?es!).

I use a static home page.

    My URL is- https://www.samara.ee

Can you please help me with this problem. I am so lost.

    Hi mariliizikas,

All in One SEO Pack appears to be working just fine. Just because you set a title tag or meta description does not necessarily mean that Google has crawled your site recently and picked up the change. I checked and Google last updated their index for your site on January 24th. You can resubmit your site to Google using Google Webmaster Tools or this link here https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url but that doesn’t guarantee that they’ll update their index immediately. They may take a while to update their index so be patient.

    Hi wpsmort!

    Thank you for your replay!
I have crawled my site after I installed SEO package for about 15 times already. But I will be patient and wait for few days more.
But as I understand this is normal that the URL is correct, but the Google search result box is not?

    Thank you!

    Hi mariliizikas,

It is normal for Google to take their time in updating their index. There is no way to predict how long it will take them, I’ve seen it take anywhere from a few days to weeks. It all depends on how active they think your site is.

Bottom line is continue to use All in One SEO Pack to manage your SEO meta data but be aware that just because you change something doesn’t mean it will have an immediate impact on what Google does with that meta data.

    Hi!

I just checked and Google indexed my site yesterday 2.02.14, but still my site title is not correct.

    What should I do now?

    Hi mariliizikas,

Is it one specific page that is wrong in Google SERPS or all pages? Can you provide an example.

You may be correct that Google crawled your site on Feb 2nd but they have not updated their index since Jan 20th. There is no way to force them to update their index, all you can do is wait. Even once they’ve updated their index, they don’t have to use the title tag and meta description that you provided, sometimes they’ll display something different (especially for the description but they are starting to do this with titles too now).
