• I’m using the All in One SEO plugin to re-write my page titles for me. This works perfectly for everything including events that were originally posted under v1.6.5 (I’ve only recently updated to the latest version for unrelated reasons). However, any event I add since isn’t have the page title rewritten correctly. It ends up as:

Event name – – Site name

    Rather than:

Event name – Events – Site name

I’ve searched and found this but it’s two years old and doesn’t contain an answer. Can anyone help please?

I’m presuming it’s something to do with my custom page design but I’m lost.

Thanks for any help that can be given.

  • Hi dpmcalister,

You’re probably going to need to filter the SEO title function for the plugin. Take a look at this thread for some helpful hints: https://tri.be/support/forums/topic/yoast-ecl/ – it’s for another SEO plugin, but should be similar.

Thanks, I’ll have a look at that over the weekend and mark this topic as resolved should it work.

    Sounds good dpmcalister, thanks!

That’s helped, but I can’t work out what to use in place of ‘wpseo_title’. I’m not married to using All in One SEO though so if I can’t get it to work I’m happy to switch and see if that helps. Thanks.

    Hey dpmcalister,

Try searching the AIO SEO forums or website for filters. They should have something similar. If not, yes you would need to switch to WP SEO.

    Good luck!
