Page templates set to default after a server move

Hello,

I have a self hosted wordpress site, that has a large number posts and pages, linked together in such a way that the posts point to the pages. It’s basically a CMS use.

The issue occured after moving the server from one server location, to another. The content and every thing appears the same, as it did before, but all of the page ‘page-templates’ settings in the dashboard view of the pages have been reset to ‘default’ instead of the custom template that is required to display the content correctly.

When i attempt to change anything on the page, and save or just change the template to something other than default (Namely the URL), like the proper template, it ruins every thing and crumbles my bread crumbs. Even returning to ‘default’ does not restore the page to the way it was. Nothing does.

This presents two options, rebuild each and every page effected thusly, or ask the forums for help!

The system is a little over complex, as i have two php files that provide A) Banner graphic based on a if/else and another B) that provides another graphic and two links to the page.php template. Every thing else is handled in <the content?> (e.g. the user interface driven stuff).

I would like to think there’s a way to update these, and have them not fall apart. Any ideas? Can i provide any additional information?
