    Hello Support,

would it be possible to use a page template for my latest blog posts?

By default Donovan is showing the latest blog posts on my homepage, while WordPress is set to “Your homepage displays > Your latest posts”.

But when I want to show “A static page” as my homepage / landing page I need a different page to link to / show my latest blog posts. For this case I wanted to create a new page based on a fitting template. But Donovan offers only templates with no blog content listed.

How can I achieve a solution here?

    Kind regards

    André

    Hello André,

The theme does not really need an page template for this, because WordPress Core already provides an option for that kind of functionality.

When you choose a static homepage, WordPress allows you to select a Front page and a Posts page. You can create an empty page and select it as your Posts page. WordPress will then automatically show your latests posts on this page, instead of the normal page content. You can also use the Posts page in your custom menus and create a link to your Blog in your site navigation.

We also have a tutorial about the Homepage settings of WordPress Core on https://themezee.com/docs/front-page/

    Cheers,
    Thomas
