Page template

I would like to use this plugin within Page builder pages but the short code doesn’t work there from within a text widget. I have tried to use my theme’s templates with a sidebar but the portfolio then hogs the entire width of the page as does your templates. That is not desired. My client also wants text above the portfolio. I can hardcode that in I suppose. I do like the plugin. My main issue is the inflexibility of the template. Adding a sidebar to your template obviously doesn’t work because it uses the entire width of the page. Is there any simple code I can use to enable the sidebar. The template i am using is TopShot Pro.
