page take way too long loading while translated

    We really like your addon, but we have experienced unusual loadingtime while the website is translated from swedish. We are aware that it may take longer to load a page while translated, but Gtranslate has been the slowest when testing page load after translation, one page took 40 seconds to load when translating from swedish to english for instance

    It’s all fine when you translate the home page, but when you go to another page which is our areas in this case, the page loads ridiculously long.

    We really would like help with this since this is the only addon that helps us in this situation.

    I have checked your website, but cannot find GTranslate on your website.

    I cannot also confirm that you are using our paid version.

    I would recommend you to use our paid version, which loads the translations from our servers directly and sometimes it is even faster than your original website.

    oh, my mistake. forgot to enable GTranslate.
    we are not using the pro version.

    Now it’s live and running on our page and should be visible, the problem with the translator is the loading time when change to another page, it takes around 30-40 seconds to load our area page. We wonder if it could go faster some how.

    your duplicate post was deleted. Instead of posting again, you should continue the discussion here. You may mention previous participants in the conversation, just like I mentioned you here.
    But also, keep in mind that we’re here talking about individuals helping each other out, while using totally free software, so nobody, not even the plugin developer, is obliged to respond.

    (If you happen to be using any PAID software from the same developer, then any support for that should happen directly between you and them and NOT in this forum.)

    Hi @edvent,

    I have checked your website and can see the reason for the long load time.

    It seems that you have some plugin which measures the load time of the website in percents and shows it on the screen while the website is loading. So when you select a language and change a page, the percents start to run from 0% to 100% and each time it changes from 0% to 1% we try to translate the 1%, then 2%, then 3% up to 100%, which slows down your website.

    My recommendation will be to add notranslate class to the counter element like this:

    <p id="preload-counter" class="notranslate">

    In that case we will not try to translate it every time.
