page speed/yslow grades lower with this plugin

on WP 3.91, both the page speed and yslow grades are lower when this plugin is enabled (C, B verses A, A on gtmetrix.com in my particular case), with “Enable gzip compression” scoring an “F” in both cases
again, this is for WP 3.91, which this plugin does not officially support – your mileage may vary
