    Hello,
I have W3TC installed on my website as I would like to improve my website speed. I have all of the recommended settings in place. When i run a google speed test i get a desktop score of 60 and mobile score of 49.

Something that confuses me is that if I clear my cache and do a page speed test, it shoots up. But if i do it a few seconds later, it is back to its usual score. Is this something that happens to everyone else or is there anything I can do to maintain my better score that appears straight after clearing the cache.

I had a similar result using the Pingdom Website Speed Test. If I disable caching, I get a higher ‘Grade’, however load time increases substantially. With caching, my grade is lower but paradoxically I get much faster load time. My guess is that the scoring algorithm is looking for best practices that are obscured by caching. I decided to not worry about the score or grade, the load time is what matters.

I would recommend, to both of you, using CloudFlare along with W3TC.
My website is flying after started using Cloudflare, free account, along with W3TC.
My scores are above 90, 93% PageSpeed Score/91% YSlow, page load time 0.8sec.

Give it a try, hope it will work out for you, I saw somebody having trouble using both plugins at the same time, it depends on your theme I guess. I am using paid theme, nothing too complicated, all working fine.
