• Is there any plan from the dev of this plugin to incorporate the setting for Event page slug and Single Event slug, just like this screenshot (refer Attachment 1).

The annoying problem with current VS Event List setup is, the default Event list page will adopt a slug from blog permalink, which in our case it will be (https://azmannor.com/blog/event/single-event), since we use /blog/%postname% as our permalink for Blog.

Even though you tried to backchannel it by using Permalink Plugin, for example, to force custom the permalink and slug for VS Event List so that it could be like this (https://azmannor.com/event/single-event), yet in the Single Event page, the Breadcrumb (Event) will still direct to the default Event list page with this URL (https://azmannor.com/blog/event/) — refer Attachment 2; not directed to custom Events page, for example if I create a page with this link (https://azmannor.com/events/) for VS Event List shortcode.

Wish the dev could add this feature, that enable users to easily set the Event list page slug and Single Event slug, just like The Events Calendar plugin.

    Hi,

I don’t want to hook into the default permalink structure too much. This may cause unexpected behavior. For example, currently slug /event will display the so called post type archive page (= all events). This page is generated by WP itself.

Is there any setting, or if any in pipeline that you plan, to make this plugin create a proper page / custom post type for event list, that not dependable on permalink of default WP post type?

    Hi,

Most important thing is you can change the “event” base into something else. Besides this I don’t want to make more changes to the permalink structure, as mentioned before.
You can look into a redirect via htaccess?
