• Hello,
I am using WordPress MU and I would like to modify some aspects of the second wp-signup.php page (the one that appears after choosing a username and password). There are two fields that I want to change: the first is a drop-down menu “Site Language” that I would like to delete. The second is a check button with the words “I declare to be of age and I have read the Terms of Use”, where “Terms of Use” is a link to a nonexistent page (https://mysite.tld/tos). I want to change this sentence (and of course the link to Terms of Use).
I tried looking in the .po and .mo files, but that phrase does not appear.
The theme that I am using is Athena, the plugins that are active: Theme My Login, BuddyPress, Header and Footer, JP Custom CSS, PO / MO Editor, Tesla Login Customizer and Yoast SEO.
    Please, help! Thank you!

  • Hi ilariaaa,

How are you? Changing code directly is never a good idea. I suggest the following:

    1. Use plugins like code snippet, terms of service and privacy policy
    2. You will have to link to the tos, but what I would recommend is that your page settings are private for that page.
    3. Deleting site language might cause serious wordpress issues. The code interacts with each other.

Let me know if there are anything else.

    Hello @dekkertjie,

what do you mean by “your page settings are private for that page”?

I don’t want delete site language, but only keep the default language and don’t show that drop-down menu. How can I do it?

    Thanks

    Ilaria
