Page Rrefresh errors after successful submission

  • On pretty much all of my sites – when I submit contact form 7 – I get the success message – I get the mail – it does what it’s supposed to. But once, I get the success message – the page refreshes and all the fields have “Please Fill in the required field” errors and at the bottom in yellow I have “Validation errors occurred. Please confirm the fields and submit it again.”

    This started happening after a recent update. At first I thought it was only on sites where I’m running Autoptimize – but I’m seeing it on sites without that plugin as well. Before the above-mentioned updated – the forms submitted perfectly – even with Autoptimize installed.

    I’m also getting these errors on 2 other templates

    Urip landing page theme

    These 2 sites have very little plugins on them – but I get the same errors – the page will refresh with something like #wpcf7-f110-p436-o1 at the back. And then give validation errors and the empty field errors. I’m using shortcodes in textboxes to initiate the forms.

    Is there a way to send private messages – then I can send links to the landing page as well where the error occurs – but on another page (same domain) it doesnt give the error.

    Try switching to the default theme and deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7, Classic Editor, WordPress Importer, and Yoast SEO.

    Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.

    I will give that a try. Just want to give you the following scenario as well.

    On the Landing Page where I got the error – I made a clone of that landing page. And removed a javascript popup from the page and an image that links to another page. Further down on that page I have a contact form (like on the first landing page) – the form is working perfectly on the duplicate landing page – same theme. same plugins.
