Page revision history gone

  • I was working on my pages Saturday night and something happened. It’s hard to be specific but all of a sudden my google page speed and mobile-friendly tests of the two pages I was working on went from 100/100 to 31/100 and 85/100 respectively. They had passed both tests with flying colors.

    The pages still render perfectly in my browser.

    I can’t pin down what I was doing at the time, but it’s as if someone flipped a switch. And today when I went back to work, I see my page revision history for my home page is gone before 19:55 on Saturday night – exactly when this event happened. Also, now I cannot update any pages it just does not save the update. Does that give anyone any clues?

    I’m a complete noob trying to migrate my existing pages to WP and customizr was perfect for me until this happened!

  • Hi Barbyr,
    could this be related to some plug-in (the impossibility to update your page/posts..)? Or some issue with the db.
    About the revisions:
    Basically Customizr (and a theme in general on wp.org) doesn’t have anything to do with the page/posts revisions. They stay in a whole different table in the db.
    I’m sorry I cannot help you that much, maybe someone else much more expert than me in this field could.
    The only thing I can suggest you is to open a new topic in the wp.org general forum to get more chance to have a good answer to your issue. We’re pretty focused on the theme’s issue here (or at least I am :)).
