Page restrict stopped working

    I installed the plugin a while ago, created a page called private-page and set up a rule so that only subscribers can see the page. I set up a user as a subscriber and everything worked a treat. If I was logged out and selected a link to go to the page, I got a login, I logged in as a subscriber and the page would display.

    Now, it has stopped working and I can’t understand why. If I am logged out and click on the link to the page, I don’t get a login, it just says the page can not be found. If I login as a subscriber and click on the link, again, I just get the page can not be found. If I login as Administrator and click the link, the page is displayed as expected.

    In the console, I am getting an error

    get https://msopc.org.uk/private-page/ 404 /private-page/:1

    We checked, and reproduced the same error on the browser dev tools.

    The 404 is a status code that tells a web user that a requested page is not available or has been deleted on a site.

    Can you try the following?

    • Check the private page and ensure it is published on the site.
    • ?Clear?all any browser,?WordPress, server, database, and CDN?caches?you have.
    • Retest?using a private or?incognito?window with no active browser extensions.

    Worked a treat thanks!

    I did notice that somehow I had set the page to Private in WordPress. I unset that and although it allowed me to access the page if I logged in as a subscriber, it did not give me a login page if I was logged out. After following the steps above, I am now getting the login page.
