Page redirecting error.

    A friends LAN has 3 WP installs running, all 2.9.1

    If you are on either //A or //B installs of WordPress, then click a link that redirects to //C/resources/ it forwards to C/resources/docs

    The redirect is done with a basic redirect template in my themes folder.

    /resources/docs is a valid child page of /resource/.

    I’ve done some solution searching, at this point I’m thinking I’ve been barking up the wrong tree with permalinks. Suggestions?
