• I have a section of child pages on my site that I’d like to have restricted access to.

I would like for people who are Contributors (and above) to be able to access these pages. I would like for them to be able to log into the blog once and have full access to the site.

So, basically just Subscribers, robots, and fly-by readers won’t have access to these pages.

Any way to do this? It seems like it should be simple thing to do …

I have tried the ‘Page Access’ and ‘Page Restriction’ plugins by James Asher, but either they don’t work with 2.2 or I’m completely clueless.

As I’m thinking about this more, what I’d like to be able to do is this:

    Write a Page.

On the right hand side where it all the options are (Categories, Discussion, Page Status …) there is one for ‘Page Password’. Instead of Page Password, I’d like an option that is something like ‘This page readable by:’ with a list to tick off: Subscriber, Contributor, Author, Editor, Admin and then I can check off who can access the page.

If anyone is not logged in, they can read any page or post on the site but this one. If they are logged in and have access to the page they can read it, but if their level does not, then they can’t access it.

    Plugin?

This is exactly what i’m looking for but without much luck?

Basically I’d like all my ‘pages’ to be publicly available but have the ability to restrict certain category and child categories dependant on the user logged in and variable on user level.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks

Kimba… this plugin works fine in 2.3.1 for me – you add users to a group, and then restrict access to that page in the ‘Write Page’ Screen.

I am looking to restrict access of users to certain sections of my site and I see that this plugin is not suitable for version 2.5 – can any one help on this please
