Page only refreshes when clicking add to wishlist

  • Dear YITH team,

    Our client has been using this plugin for a while and reported it doesn’t work as expected anymore, we’re unsure since which version the issue came up.

    Currently, when someone hits the “Add to Wishlist” btn the page refreshes and does have the expected query param “?add_to_wishlist=36097” however the product is never added to the actual wishlist.

    Can you guys maybe take a look at what could cause the issue ?

    Hello Lennart,
    we hope you’re doing well!

    We have reviewed the site you mention, and it is likely that this is due to some customization of your theme or some plugin that is modifying the behavior of the button, since by default it should not refresh the page.

    We recommend you perform the following tests and check if the problem disappears in any of the steps:
    – Change the theme to a default WordPress theme like 2022.
    – Leave only WooCommerce and our plugin active, and if the problem disappears, activate your plugins in batches until you find which one is causing it.

    If you don’t want to do this on your live site, you can easily create a staging site with the free WP Staging plugin.
