I created a temp page just like the one that’s crashing, and started out with no embedded videos and it loaded fine. Then I started adding one videos embed code at a time, clearing the cache between each and the page loaded fine for the first 8 (there are 10 videos embedded on the page) videos that were added and then when adding the code to the ninth video and trying to load the page, it crashed. I also replaced the ninth videos code with the tenth videos and also duplicated the code for the eight video and still got the same result of the page crashing.

It looks like, based on this test, that both Chrome and Safari on the iPad and iPhone don’t like there being more than eight embedded videos on the page.

    Hey Drew,

I am having the same issue with my website and it crashing on the iPad. I suspected it was the graphics/videos. Your post certainly points further in that direction.

Let’s hope someone provides a solution soon.

I’m currently experiencing the same problem and I too have multiple images and videos on a single page website. Have either of you managed to fix the problem yet?

    I think I found a solution!

The problem is too many blog entries are loading for a mobile device. I had my setting on “scroll infinitely” and blog pages to show at most – 10.

I made the following changes and it now loads on my iPad.

    Got into “Settings”

    Then “reading”

Change the “blog pages to show at most” to 7.
    And unclick “scroll infinitely”.

FYI, I tried 8 and 9 for blog pages to show at most, but it still crashed at that number for me.

    Hope this helps. Good luck!
