Page Not Fount error when a new page is added to parent page..!!!

    Dear Virtue Theme Help Support,

    I am developing a photography website for me wherein I have a “Galleries” page. I want to add many galleries, in separate pages, under the parent page “galleries”. But, when I am giving “parent” attribute to individual gallery pages and publishing them, I am getting a “Page Not Found” error.

    Please help me resolve this issue.

    Hey, try re-saving your permalinks. Go to settings > permalinks and click save changes. Let me know if that does the trick!

    Dear Hannah,

    Many Thanks for your suggestion but I am sorry to inform you that re-saving the permanent link structure didn’t work for me. :-/

    However, I found the solution. The slug of my page “Galleries” should not be “/galleries/” in order to accommodate child pages. It’s slug can be any other variant like “/portfolio/” or “/gallery/”.

    So, in short, to accommodate child pages, the slug and name of the parent page should not exactly be the same. ??
