• I am using a real estate IDX plugin that generates a large number of virtually generated pages. These pages do not show up naturally in WordPress, but they are there. I don’t plan to list all of them in my XML Sitemaps, but I will submit all the zipcode pages and some of the city and neighborhood pages.

I have thus far manually entered 190 pages and am probably half way to where I will end up, or slightly less than half way.

The IDX plugin I am using integrates with this specific plugin so I can’t use another plugin.

Is the number of pages I have entered causing the page not found error I am experiencing?

If not, what else could be the issue?

    Thanks.

Anyone from the plugin developer monitoring these forums?

I asked my server admins to make sure there were no issues on the server, I received the following reply:

Are there any limitations to how many links can be added? When I attempt to add the new links, I am able to reproduce the problem, after clicking update options the URL is no longer in the sitemap. However, there are no errors at all produced in the error logs so it certainly isn’t a memory or server related issue.

It’s quite strange. I would recommend contacting the developer to see if he/she can shed any light on the situation, as it seems like perhaps a limit related to the amount of URL’s being added has been reached perhaps.

So the culprit is still an upper limit on the number of manually submitted URL’s.

Is there anyone listening to these forums for this plugin?

Oh, and to update, the server admin did say that the Page Not Found Error was due to a modsec rule that was being incorrectly triggered. They disabled this modsec rule and were able to add just 1 more link. Trying to add more links does not cause the Page Not Found error, but also does not add the new page.
