    Hi,

I have tried emailing 3 times this week to support with no response. I had a challenge syncing the store and finally got that straightened out – it ended up being one simple checkbox on the WordPress end – which was not mentioned anywhere in documentation.

Now I finally have the store synched, but I must not be understanding how this all works because beyond displaying the products I have nothing else.
I used the shortcode [wps_products] to list all the products and that works but then when I click any one of them it just brings up a Page Not Found link. (putting the URL of the products page I needed to show all the products in the settings page did NOT work either!) I’ve tried various shortcodes to include the cart, etc. anything and I must not be understanding how to use this plugin. I thought this Plugin would seamlessly transfer the e-commerce end over with little setup, but it seems I still have to customize everything and it’s still not working for me. If there was an easier alternative I would have given up on this plugin by now but the person I am setting this store up for would like to integrate the site design Shopify. This is my first E-commerce site so maybe that’s why I’m really running into confusion setting this up. I have read through the documentation multiple times but cannot seem to find the answers I need.

Further assistance and response would really be appreciated!!

    Hey there,

Sorry for the delayed support response.

First regarding the cart, you can display that in one of two ways. The easiest way is through the custom menu item under Appearance – Menus. If you don’t see it, go to the very top of the screen and click “Screen options”. You might need to enable it. Additionally, you can show the card using the [wps_cart] shortcode as well. More on that here: https://wpshop.io/docs/wps_cart/

Regarding the product URLs not working, have you tried adjusting the permalinks? Some people have reported issues when permalinks are set to Plain. Changing these to Post name sometimes helps. If they’re already set to something other than Plain, try flushing the rewrite rules by simply clicking the “Save changes” button while on the Permalinks settings page.

Does any of this help? If not please let me know and I can help further!

Thank you for the response! I apologize for the abruptness and seeming frustrated, I just know the person I am handling this for is in somewhat of a timeframe as am I. And you had responded to my email earlier today too – I do appreciate that. That was prior to realizing that after all that I didn’t have anything further than that stuff figured out.

I did read about the permalinks and checked… They are set as Post Name. And then I wasn’t sure if I needed to put that same code [wps_cart] on the same page where I put the shortcode. Something tells me my issue is beyond anything that can be figured out here, and not any fault of the Plugin, possibly its just how I have things set up in some other way because I can see the plugin works well for others.

If this won’t work I plan to just make the shop page of the client’s Shopify account the shop page of the site using a Sub domain.

Any other input is appreciated, but if not I think it may be more complex in my case.

@andrewmrobbins I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials. I have flagged your account temporarily. That just means that your post will need to be approved and @ notifications from you will not work.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.
