    I’m new to WordPress.
This is my first site and I’ve followed some basic tutorials on how to get my feet wet.

Everything was going fine until I checked on my blog recently. My home page and home button on the menu bar both work fine. When I click on any of the other categories off the menu bar, I get a page not found message. (www.turnerpeters.com)
The only category that works is “Blob” and it shows my first ever entry on day 1.

There are other posts and they are categorized. You can see them all on the homepage. They even hyperlink from the homepage to nest under the right category after you clickthrough from the homepage. But nothing appears when you try to view from the categories on the menu bar.

I’ve tried searching other forums posts here and it seems to talk a little bit about permalinks and reseting them.
What is a permalink? How do I reset them? Is that the fix?

Thank you in advance for the help!

I’m having the same problem…did you figure it out?

    Nope, still unresolved.

I’m wondering too if it has to do with the WordPress update that occurred recently. Or the simple catch theme update that happened too.

Either way, I would like to fix it & learn about permalinks

Thanks for that. Is there another resource geared more for beginners?

Much of that article was over my head. I’m not sure what type of system my WordPress is on or what type of permalinks I’m using.

Is there a way to resolve my issue without writing or reading code?

I’m happy to learning the long run but right now I’m just trying to get my started blog functioning at a crawl.

    Well, I fixed the problem.

I logged into my WordPress and went to the the appearence option on the banner and then choose menus. I then removed all my menu’s on the right and re-added them to the menu bar. Saved. That did it.

Thanks for all the other help on this forum though!
