    Hello,

I’m having similar troubles to another poster, whereby I can create the download successfully, but I can never access it whether logged in or not.

In the other thread these two items were mentioned:

First, could you try re-saving the permalinks? You can do so by going to WordPress default settings > permalinks and click the ‘Save changes’ button. This usually resolves the issue.

If this doesn’t solve the issue look into if you have Redirect to file enabled for your download. You can find this option when you edit the download in the backend. If you have this option enabled, you can’t link to a file that is located in the dlm_uploads folder because those files can’t be accessed directly. If this is the case either check off the Redirect to file option or move the file out of the dlm_uploads folder.

I’ve done the permalink ‘save changes’, and I’ve verified that the file does not have the ‘redirect to file’ attribute checked.

I checked the web server error and access logs and did not see anything out of the ordinary.

    Where should I look next?

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Rich

    Bump?

duzenbury, I had the same issue. Seems my problem was that I had the download page as a child to another page. When I removed the parent-child relationship, that fixed it.

Of course, now I’m trying to figure out why it doesn’t (or won’t) work as a child page. I set the endpoint to be the child page, but nothing.

    Hope this is helpful.

    Hello Rich,

Please go to “Downloads > Settings” menu in your WordPress admin and then to the “Access” tab and please check if you have selected a page for the “No Access” setting.
