• I’m having the weirdest issue. All of a sudden, whichever post I click on is giving me a: “Oops, That wasn’t found. Sorry, no posts matched your criteria. Perhaps you can find what you’re looking for below.” Only the Home page is working properly and the content around the posts themselves – widgets, banners, etc but the posts and pages don’t show up.

I talked to my hosting’s tech support and they suggested it might be an SEO plugin issue with mod_rewrite. I disabled all plugins to test it out and it still doesn’t work.

The other strange thing is when I compose a new post it doesn’t show the URL parameter at all. If I save the post as a draft it just disappears. The Publish button now says Submit for Review which was also really strange.

I even disabled my CDN from CloudFlare, thinking it might be causing some issue, but no change.

I haven’t made any changes to my configuration recently and my host says they haven’t either. I really don’t know what to do, any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mike

  • If you change your permalinks (Settings -> Permalinks) to the Default setting, does that change anything? Can you see the posts on your site then?

    Hi Senff,

Yes, that does seem to make the posts accessible but doesn’t help with the other issues.

If you look in the user list, is your account still an Administrator level account?

    (@delta_squadron)

Yes, it says it’s an Administrator.

Are there any other administrators in the list? I’m confused as to why it says “Submit for review”. I’m familiar with that functionality but this usually only happens when someone is NOT an administrator.

Instead of disabling the plugins in the admin, rename all directories in the /wp-content/plugins directory (e.g. rename “akismet” to “akismet-tmp”, etc.) just to make sure all plugins are really disabled, and then see if that makes any difference.

If nothing helps, it’s possible something is messed up in the database (I came across this thread) but then it will take a lot more deeper back-end work to have it fixed.

There’s only one account and it has admin privileges. I tried and renamed all the directories for all the plugins but that doesn’t seem to help.

I took a look at that other thread and it’s way over my head. I think my only other option at this point is to re-install WordPress with a new SQL database, etc. It’s going to suck but oh, well…

I’ll just wait a little longer in case someone comes up with a better solution.

Can you post a link to your site? Maybe that will give us a little more insight.

    (@delta_squadron)

    Sure, the link is https://audiobookjungle.com/.

Yeah I have to admit I’m stumped. I can’t see anything special that could cause these issues — the permalinks are maybe a setting with .htaccess or the Apache rewrite module, but the fact that you can’t publish posts….?

Beats me, the only thing I can think of is that the database got corrupted (but that’s just because I can’t come up with any other cause to be honest).

I do have a backup of the database from when the site was working. I guess I could try restoring that earlier version?
