    Hi,

I’m using this plugin on one of my sites on a wordpress multisites (using subdomain).

This is a large website with a few hundred of posts in each site.
When checking on google webmaster tools – i see 15 scan errors of page not found (404).
All the 404 links are from the sitemap.

    What can cause this problem?
    How can i fix that?

    Thank you!

  • I have the same problem!

I have the same problem. In my case, the 404 urls are from pages that are still in Draft mode.

I suggest to update the plugin code so these pages (and all non-public pages) are excluded from the sitemap.

I’ve had a closer look at this and in my case this is caused by the crawler not re-reading the sitemap. It reports 404 errors for URLs that were actually removed from the sitemap but still in some buffer.

When asking webmaster tools for the referring pages, it reports an XML and when I opened the XML, it did not contain the URL anymore.

I don’t know if this can be solved by updating the plugin.
